About the role
The Technical Engineering Clerk provides essential clerical support to the Department Head, ensuring smooth administrative operations within the engineering division. This position handles a wide range of routine tasks, from timekeeping to document management, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain department timekeeping, filing systems, and initiate employee actions such as expense reimbursements, leave processing, and vendor payments.
- Prepare reports, letters, routine correspondence, take dictation, and record meeting minutes.
- Manage the department diary, schedule meetings, appointments, and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Screen and direct telephone calls and visitors, handling requests and queries appropriately.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and correspondence.
- Act as point of contact for document review, editing, formatting, and office equipment operation.
- Coordinate office supplies, act as liaison between the Director, direct reports, and external contacts.
Required profile
- Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, Office Administration, Secretarial Studies, Accounting, MIS, or Marketing.
- 5‑8 years of relevant clerical or administrative experience.
- Fluent English proficiency.
