Technical Head - Rolling Stock and Yellow Plant

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Head – Rolling Stock and Yellow Plant to provide strategic and technical leadership across our Middle East railway programmes. The role will drive high‑quality consultancy services, innovation and business growth while overseeing the full lifecycle of rolling stock and yellow plant assets.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical authority and SME, providing strategic guidance to clients and internal teams.
• Lead development and delivery of rolling stock and yellow plant solutions, ensuring best‑in‑class technical quality.
• Oversee all lifecycle elements of rolling stock and yellow plant, including design, manufacturing, testing, commissioning and operational readiness.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges and constraints.
• Lead and oversee delivery of major multidisciplinary rail projects, ensuring scope, schedule, cost and quality targets.
• Manage critical railway system interfaces such as rail‑wheel and traction power interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with assurance, approval and certification requirements.
• Lead delivery of operations, entry‑into‑service and asset‑management assignments.
• Lead bids, tenders and procurement activities, providing technical and commercial leadership.
• Develop feasibility studies and strategic advisory inputs to support client decision‑making.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years (180 months) experience in railway rolling stock, yellow plant or related engineering programmes.
• Proven experience in strategic technical leadership and managing large multidisciplinary rail projects.
• Demonstrated ability to act as SME and provide technical guidance to clients and internal teams.
• Strong track record in leading bids, tenders and business development activities.
• Experience in managing client relationships and stakeholder engagement.
