Technical Operator

About the role

Join Mars as a Technical Operator and become an integral part of a dynamic factory shift team. You will be responsible for a set of machines, equipment, and processes, ensuring smooth daily operations and contributing to production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Work within a shift team of up to 15 associates to meet area targets.
• Take ownership of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.
• Perform start‑up, shut‑down, monitoring, cleaning, basic changeovers, and routine inspections.
• Escalate issues appropriately and provide clear verbal and written handovers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns using trained knowledge.

Required profile

• Education to GCSE level or higher.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience in FMCG or factory operations is desirable.
• Mechanical training or fault‑finding experience is beneficial.

Required skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting and basic repairs.
• Ability to perform routine checks, cleaning and basic changeovers.
• Use of ancillary equipment and basic computer programs.
