Telecommunication Inspector

About the role

SGS is seeking a Telecommunication Inspector to ensure that all incoming telecom materials and installations meet the highest quality standards. The role involves rigorous assessment, documentation, and verification of cable systems, equipment, and tower installations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular quality assessments on all vendor‑supplied materials and reject non‑conforming items.
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to verify compliance.
• Document inspection outcomes with detailed reports and performance records.
• Check communication equipment, cable installations, and verify work against approved drawings.
• Witness testing and configuration of communication switches, servers, and related hardware.
• Inspect structured cabling systems, telecom tower materials, tower and antenna installations.
• Inspect termination of fiber, RF, and coaxial cables.

Required profile

• B.S. degree in Engineering (inspection discipline) with at least 4 years of relevant experience, OR a technical college diploma with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Thorough knowledge of international standards such as BICSI.
• Working knowledge of quality system standards and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Preferably passed CBT in PID‑Communication Inspector.
