Network Engineer – Operational Technology & Cybersecurity

About the role

Parsons is seeking a talented Network Engineer to support operational technology, networking, server infrastructure, cybersecurity coordination, and systems integration for the RCRC Phase‑2 Traffic Operations Program and the Parsons iNET deployment environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and administer Parsons iNET server and network infrastructure for the RCRC Phase‑2 program.
• Coordinate with RCRC IT and Cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with operational, security, and infrastructure requirements.
• Manage Ubuntu/Linux server environments, including patch management, system updates, service monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor VPN connectivity between Parsons systems and external stakeholders such as the Saudi Red Crescent Authority.
• Implement and maintain secure communication pathways, firewall policies, routing configurations, and access controls.
• Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot networking equipment including firewalls, routers, switches, and related infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Parsons ITS and integration teams on iNET platform services, application updates, and connectivity needs.
• Participate in MDT/change management activities, including migration support, rollback coordination, and system recovery.
• Support backup verification, disaster recovery coordination, and operational resiliency planning.
• Assist with cybersecurity compliance, vulnerability management, security hardening, access governance, and audit support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in network engineering, cybersecurity, server administration, or operational technology support.
• Proven experience with enterprise or OT environments involving networking, firewalls, cybersecurity, and server infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities in live operational settings.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and communicate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Ubuntu/Linux server administration (patch management, updates, monitoring, troubleshooting).
• Networking fundamentals: VLANs, routing, switching, VPN technologies, firewall administration.
• Enterprise firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, or similar.
• Experience with high‑availability operational environments and multi‑disciplinary team coordination.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices: vulnerability assessments, access control, security hardening, audit coordination.
• Knowledge of virtualization/server technologies and related hardware (HPE, Cisco, etc.).
