Transaction Manager – PPP Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead the development, financing, bidding and delivery of large‑scale infrastructure and utility projects under Public‑Private Partnership (PPP) frameworks. The Transaction Manager will play a pivotal role in structuring financing solutions, managing lender relationships and ensuring successful financial close.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct project financial analysis, evaluating cash flows, cost structures, tariffs and returns.
• Design and execute financing strategies, arranging debt, equity and bridge financing.
• Develop, review and maintain robust, bankable financial models for bidding, valuation and project evaluation.
• Coordinate with lenders, manage conditions precedent and oversee debt disbursement to achieve financial close.
• Perform financial due diligence, identify risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Lead financial bid preparation, including pricing, tariff structuring and compliance with RFP requirements.
• Optimize tariffs, levelized cost and overall project financial performance.
• Handle stakeholder queries from authorities, lenders, investors and other parties.
• Drive commercial negotiations with off‑takers, EPC contractors, O&M providers, lenders and investors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field; MBA, CFA, CA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• 7–12+ years of experience in project finance, PPP/PFI transactions, infrastructure investments or financial advisory.
• Proven track record developing and maintaining complex PPP financial models for infrastructure, utilities, water, wastewater, renewable energy and power projects.
• Experience supporting successful financial close processes, including lender engagement and debt structuring.
• Strong background in raising project finance, equity bridge loans and corporate loans from commercial banks, DFIs, ECAs and similar institutions.
