Translation Manager

About the role

The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change is seeking a Translation Manager to lead the production and quality control of Arabic‑English consulting materials. You will ensure that reports, presentations and proposals retain their original style and tone while being culturally adapted for Middle‑East audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Translate complex consulting documents between English and Arabic, maintaining accuracy and appropriate style.
• Coordinate in‑house and outsourced translation projects, acting as the main liaison between internal teams and external vendors.
• Manage external translators, negotiate contracts, and oversee billing processes.
• Lead end‑to‑end translation projects, from scoping and glossary development to final delivery, documentation and archiving.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to align priorities, timelines and deliverables.
• Utilise CAT tools, translation management systems and AI‑driven solutions to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• University degree in Linguistics, Translation or a related field.
• 3‑5+ years of translation experience, preferably in professional, technical or consulting environments.
• 1‑2+ years of coordination or project‑management experience within translation services.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAT tools (Computer‑Assisted Translation).
• Experience using translation management systems.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven translation solutions.
