Upper Elementary School Homeroom Teacher

About the role

The American International School – Riyadh is looking for a licensed Upper Elementary Homeroom Teacher to join our faculty for the 2027‑2028 academic year. The teacher will foster inquisitive, independent learners and create a nurturing classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lessons aligned with AIS‑R curriculum standards using the Understanding by Design framework.
• Maintain effective classroom control, organization, and behavior management, keeping accurate records.
• Assess student strengths, interests, and needs to plan differentiated instruction.
• Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction and support student well‑being.
• Collaborate with divisional principals and adhere to school policies, safeguarding protocols, and professional standards.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree and a valid North American (or equivalent) teaching certificate.
• Certification in the relevant subject area and/or grade level.
• At least two years of full‑time K‑12 teaching experience.
• Commitment to continuous learning, AIS‑R core values, and the school’s mission.
• Understanding of student safeguarding practices and mandatory reporting.
