VDI Engineer – Quality Control in Pipe Manufacturing

About the role

The VDI Engineer will support the implementation and maintenance of procedures that control the production process of seamless steel pipes. The role focuses on quality monitoring, documentation for certification, and continuous improvement of quality systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing production‑process procedures, rules, and resources for each phase.
• Support corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous quality improvement.
• Monitor quality issues, analyse key indicators, and prepare monthly quality reports.
• Prepare documentation required for final certification and third‑party inspections.
• Plan and conduct internal monitoring activities for processes and products.
• Support internal and external audits, manage audit results and follow‑ups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy or a related engineering field.
• 3–5 years of experience in the seamless pipe industry, preferably with API‑5L or API‑5CT lines.
• Proven experience in quality control within steel or seamless pipe manufacturing.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or other reputable ERP systems.
• Strong computer literacy.
