Workshop Mechanical Technician (Jeddah)

About the role

Join MBRF, one of the world’s largest food companies, as a Workshop Mechanical Technician in Jeddah. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of production equipment in a fast‑paced, food‑safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repair, refurbishment, modification, welding and fabrication on machinery and equipment.
• Operate machine‑shop equipment such as lathe, milling machine, shaper, planer, drill press, grinders and band saw.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to established standards.
• Inspect and maintain workshop tools, special tools and spare equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Support continuous‑improvement and equipment‑reliability projects with the Maintenance team.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and comply with HSE, GMP, 5S, HACCP and food‑safety requirements.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or certificate in Mechanical Trade, Turning, Welding or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a machine shop, welding and mechanical maintenance, preferably in Food/FMCG or a similar industrial setting.
• Hands‑on experience with arc, gas and TIG welding.
• Proficiency operating lathe, milling, drilling, grinding and other shop equipment.
• Basic knowledge of SAP and MS Office is an advantage.
• Business‑level English proficiency.
• Based in Jeddah or willing to relocate.

• Lathe operation, milling machine operation, drilling, grinding, band‑saw operation.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Knowledge of mechanical components, drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, lubrication.
• Basic SAP usage.
• Basic MS Office usage.
