Academy Fitness Coach

About the role

The Academy Fitness Coach will design and deliver physical training programmes for young football athletes at Al-Qadsiah Club. The role supports athletic growth, injury prevention and performance optimisation in line with the club’s playing model.

Key responsibilities

• Develop age‑appropriate physical development programmes focused on fundamental motor skills.
• Coordinate with academy coaches to integrate physical development into team training plans.
• Implement testing and monitoring processes to assess athletic progression.
• Collaborate with medical staff on injury prevention, early detection of overtraining and fatigue.
• Use GPS, accelerometers and strength tests to monitor performance and analyse data for programme optimisation.
• Prepare regular performance reports for coaching and medical teams.
• Educate players on nutrition, recovery, training habits and mental resilience.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of training methodologies and sports performance technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology or a related field.
• Fitness coaching certification recognised by UEFA, AFC, CAF, CONCACAF or CONMEBOL.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a fitness coach within youth football.
• Advanced knowledge of exercise physiology and athletic development for young players.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with players and staff.
• Desirable: Master’s degree in Strength & Conditioning, NSCA‑CSCS or equivalent, FIFA Guardian safeguarding qualification.
