Accountant – Events Finance

About the role

Everhires, a fast‑growing events company in Riyadh, is seeking a motivated Accountant to join its Finance team. The role will support the company’s expansion by ensuring accurate financial records, compliance, and insightful reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and account adjustments.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities and prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Monitor event and project budgets, track costs and analyse variances.
• Process supplier and customer invoices, and oversee payment collections.
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations, internal controls and company policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Maintain financial data in Odoo ERP and advanced Excel worksheets.
• Assist the Finance Manager with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5–6 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT regulations and accounting principles.
• Previous experience in an accounting firm or external audit is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills.
