Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to join our Finance team. In this position you will manage the full AP cycle, ensuring invoices, employee expenses and vendor payments are processed accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Review, verify and enter vendor invoices, purchase orders and receiving documents into the ERP system.
• Schedule and execute outgoing payments via bank transfers, checks or wire transfers in line with credit terms and cash‑flow policies.
• Act as the primary contact for vendor billing inquiries, investigating and resolving discrepancies while maintaining positive relationships.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of AP ledgers and vendor statements to keep liabilities accurate.
• Audit and process employee travel and expense reimbursements according to internal policies.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities, including AP accruals, journal entries and audit documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax) and generate AP aging reports and cash‑outflow forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Strong analytical mindset with solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS and internal controls.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as Zoho Books, SAP, NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and data manipulation.
