Assistant Manager - Technology Procurement

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Technology Procurement will oversee the full procurement lifecycle for IT hardware, software, cloud services and related professional services. Working closely with business units, the role ensures sourcing strategies deliver cost‑effective and compliant solutions that support organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement for IT hardware, software, cloud, telecommunications and professional services.
• Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and develop sourcing strategies.
• Prepare and run RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, evaluate bids and select suppliers.
• Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable contract terms.
• Coordinate contract reviews with Legal, Finance and other functions.
• Maintain relationships with strategic technology vendors and monitor supplier performance against SLAs and KPIs.
• Identify cost‑optimization and value‑creation opportunities and drive process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Support budgeting, spend analysis, reporting and market benchmarking.
• Collaborate with Finance on purchase orders, invoice resolution and budget tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Information Technology or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in technology procurement, strategic sourcing or IT vendor management.
• Proven experience procuring software, hardware, cloud services, SaaS, cybersecurity and IT professional services.
• Strong knowledge of procurement methodologies, contract management and sourcing best practices.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
