Associate Commercial Director - Construction

About the role

Mace is seeking an Associate Commercial Director to lead commercial activities on one of the largest mixed‑use development programmes in Saudi Arabia. The role combines construction expertise with strategic procurement and contract management to deliver a high‑profile project on time, within budget and to net‑zero carbon objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on the suitability of various procurement routes and related administrative procedures.
• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process, monitor outcomes and report progress.
• Oversee a commercial team, ensuring cost and contract management are executed efficiently.
• Negotiate and agree variations, claims and final accounts while protecting profitability.
• Meet CVR targets and drive overall project profitability.
• Develop and nurture relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Support the net‑zero carbon transition by identifying and managing associated emissions during delivery.

Required profile

• Membership of MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, MICE or an equivalent professional body.
• Extensive construction management experience.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Proven leadership of large, diverse teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships.
