Associate Director - Dry Utilities

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Associate Director to lead dry utilities design within its Infrastructure team in Riyadh. You will provide technical excellence and strategic direction for power, telecommunications, and street‑lighting projects across major Saudi Arabian programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of concept, preliminary and detailed designs for dry utilities, ensuring compliance with regional authority standards.
• Manage multidisciplinary design teams to deliver projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Act as the primary client liaison, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
• Oversee quality assurance, design reviews and technical compliance with local and international regulations.
• Contribute to business development, proposals and bids, leveraging regional market knowledge.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers and foster professional growth.
• Engage with local authorities and stakeholders to secure approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil or related engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in dry utilities design, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record delivering dry utilities projects in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong client‑facing, leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Chartered Engineer status (e.g., CEng, PE) is highly desirable.
