Associate Director - Project Controls

About the role

The Associate Director – Project Controls will lead the PMO and project controls function for one of the largest mixed‑use development programmes in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape strategy, ensure best‑in‑class service delivery and support Mace’s ambition for innovative, sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of PMO and project controls strategy across multiple commissions and hubs.
• Act as subject‑matter expert on cost, schedule, risk and reporting, guiding the integrated team.
• Build trusted relationships with the client and mentor high‑performing project controls teams.
• Align delivery with Mace Control Centre, driving innovation, compliance and sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate on net‑zero carbon transition, identifying and managing carbon emissions throughout delivery.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or equivalent, progressing toward chartership with a recognised professional body.
• Extensive leadership experience in PMO and project controls within large‑scale programmes.
• Proven track record in health, safety and wellbeing leadership delivering measurable outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of applicable legislation in complex organisational environments.
• Effective communication, analytical ability and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia and relevant experience on high‑value consultancy projects.
