Auditor – Tax & Customs Authority

About the role

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority is seeking a diligent Auditor to support tax assessment and compliance for SMEs. Working under close supervision, you will research, analyse financial information, draft reports, and interact with taxpayers to clarify declarations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update assessment templates and audit tools in line with operational policies.
• Monitor industry developments across sectors (business, insurance, telecom, consumer goods) and incorporate new tax practices into audits.
• Review current and past audit files to validate sales, receivables, imports, inventory and related accounts.
• Prepare high‑risk case reports, communicate findings to stakeholders, and coordinate with the Legal Support Department.
• Submit audit reports for review, incorporate feedback, and ensure final compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Approve tax amounts, provide constructive feedback to auditors, and continuously improve audit processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax audit or related financial auditing.
• Strong understanding of Saudi tax regulations, audit procedures, and administrative rules.
• Demonstrated competencies in tax audit planning, execution, broad taxation awareness, and audit management.
