Automation Engineer

About the role

GulfNet Solutions Company Limited (GNS) is looking for an Automation Engineer to provide controls and automation technical support, and to manage and execute large‑scale projects from initial concept through to final closeout.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute medium to high‑level control systems projects supporting site testing and commissioning.
• Conduct site surveys, operation & maintenance, and troubleshooting for ongoing projects.
• Assign tasks to supervisors and technicians for integration of field instruments and equipment.
• Develop IO lists, instrument loop diagrams (ILD), FAT, SAT documents, and update PFDs, P&IDs, and data sheets.
• Design mapping and panel layouts for PLCs and RTUs and provide engineering design scopes and packages.
• Review and comment on instrumentation design documents, including pressure, flow, temperature, level, and analytical analyzers.
• Lead installation, testing, and commissioning of wiring, cabling, and grounding systems following company and international standards.
• Prepare project documentation, reports, and provide technical assistance to site operating groups.

Required profile

• Minimum 84 months (7 years) of relevant experience in automation and control systems.
