Backup, Storage & Data Recovery Manager

About the role

The Backup, Storage & Data Recovery Manager provides technical leadership for the design, operation, governance and continuous improvement of Elm’s backup, recovery, storage and file‑service environments. The role ensures that critical infrastructure services remain stable, resilient and reliable, supporting business continuity and reducing operational risk.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical planning, operation and enhancement of backup and data recovery services across critical infrastructure.
• Oversee the operation and support of storage platforms and file services, ensuring availability, performance, capacity and security.
• Drive disaster‑recovery readiness by planning and executing DR tests, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain operational controls, procedures, standards and documentation for backup, recovery, storage and file services.
• Monitor stability, performance and availability of all related services, analysing incidents and capacity trends to prevent disruptions.

Required profile

• Proven technical leadership experience in backup, storage and data recovery environments.
• Ability to design, implement and improve operational governance and control frameworks.
• Experience with disaster‑recovery planning, testing and gap analysis.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor service health and drive continuous improvement.
