Barista

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Barista to join the French Café Habitat Coffee Shop. The successful candidate will craft high‑quality coffee drinks and deliver friendly service that enhances the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso‑based beverages, specialty coffees, and other menu items following standard recipes.
• Maintain consistent product quality and presentation.
• Operate and clean coffee brewing equipment, including espresso machines and grinders.
• Provide attentive customer service, take orders, answer questions, and suggest drinks.
• Handle cash and electronic payments accurately using the point‑of‑sale system.
• Keep the work area, equipment, and dining space clean and organized.
• Assist with inventory checks, restocking supplies, and reporting shortages.
• Follow health, safety, and food‑handling regulations at all times.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer‑facing role.
• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
