Bell Captain

About the role

The Bell Captain leads the Bell and Door teams at Rosewood AMAALA, ensuring smooth guest arrivals, departures, luggage handling and entrance operations. This position acts as a key ambassador at the resort entrance, delivering ultra‑luxury hospitality in line with Rosewood’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee door operations, greeting guests warmly on arrival and farewelling them graciously.
• Manage Doormen to ensure safe, efficient entrance flow for drop‑offs and pick‑ups.
• Maintain immaculate appearance of entrance, driveway and lobby exterior.
• Ensure Doormen uphold impeccable grooming, posture and proactive assistance.
• Supervise all luggage‑handling activities, including tagging, loading, unloading, storage and delivery.
• Implement strict baggage control procedures to prevent loss, mix‑ups or damage.
• Direct Bell Attendants to escort guests to rooms, operate buggies and provide resort orientation.
• Coordinate group arrival and departure logistics, including luggage pulls and liaison with Tour Leaders.
• Handle internal deliveries discreetly and timely.
• Collaborate closely with Butler, Front Desk, Guest Relations, Concierge, Airport Representatives and Transportation on arrival/departure schedules and VIP requirements.
• Review daily arrival/departure reports and plan team coverage accordingly.
• Maintain continuous communication via radios, phones or Unifocus about guest movements and operational changes.
• Report incidents or service gaps to Chief Concierge/Duty Manager and document follow‑up actions.
• Enforce safe lifting and handling procedures for all luggage.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience supervising Bell and Door staff in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong coordination skills with Front Desk, Concierge, Transportation and other guest‑service teams.
• Excellent attention to detail for cleanliness, grooming standards and luggage accuracy.
• Ability to manage high‑volume guest flow while maintaining a calm, elegant atmosphere.
• Commitment to safety protocols and loss‑prevention procedures.
• Clear communication skills for real‑time updates and incident reporting.
