Business Development Manager - Project Logistics

About the role

Maersk is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead project logistics initiatives across Saudi Arabia. You will work closely with operations to ensure project feasibility, cost efficiency, and the development of a robust vendor pool.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations teams to assess project feasibility and optimise cost structures.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to secure competitive pricing and operational excellence.
• Design and execute business development strategies for special cargo and project logistics.
• Build and manage a pipeline of project logistics opportunities in energy, infrastructure, heavy engineering, and oil & gas sectors.
• Identify and pursue new client accounts, presenting tailored logistics solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of experience managing end‑to‑end project logistics for special cargo (over‑dimensional or heavy lift).
• Proven track record in selling break‑bulk, air‑freight charters, and tanker services.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and permitting for specialised shipments.
• Experience with site mobilisation/demobilisation, staging, load‑in/load‑out sequencing, and reverse logistics is a plus.
• Willingness to work onsite in Jeddah, Riyadh, or Dammam.
