Civil Engineer – Overlay Infrastructure (Temporary Event Projects)

About the role

The role supports the delivery of temporary infrastructure and facilities required across tournament venues for a high‑profile international football tournament. You will assist with site set‑up, installation activities, supplier coordination and ensure venue readiness according to operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery of temporary overlay infrastructure across assigned venues.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications and material estimates for overlay works.
• Conduct site inspections, measurements and readiness checks.
• Coordinate with contractors, surveyors and project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
• Review and interpret geotechnical and pavement condition reports to inform design decisions.
• Prepare progress reports, technical documentation and project cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory codes, safety standards and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional engineering licence or membership with a recognised engineering body (preferred).
• Familiarity with Saudi infrastructure and construction standards.
• Valid iqama.
• At least 2 years of experience in civil engineering, focusing on road or overlay infrastructure projects.

Required skills

• Understanding of temporary structures, site set‑up and event facilities.
• Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Solid understanding of the Saudi Building Code and relevant local infrastructure regulations.
