Civil QA/QC Engineer – High‑Rise & Hospitality Projects

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer – Civil will lead the implementation and upkeep of the project’s Quality Management System, ensuring that all civil and structural works meet specifications, approved drawings, codes, and client requirements. The role focuses on high‑rise residential, commercial, and hospitality developments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply project‑specific QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and ITPs.
• Review specifications, IFC drawings, method statements, and material submittals for compliance.
• Conduct inspections of civil, structural, and architectural works throughout construction.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and testing agencies.
• Prepare and submit IRs, MIRs, and related quality documentation.
• Identify NCRs, recommend corrective actions, and verify implementation.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, and turnover documentation.
• Witness field and laboratory testing of concrete, steel reinforcement, soil, waterproofing, and finishes.
• Monitor concrete batching, placement, curing, and testing activities.
• Support internal and external audits, and promote continuous improvement under ISO 9001.
• Assist handover by preparing quality dossiers, snag lists, and close‑out documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 5–10 years of QA/QC experience in construction, preferably high‑rise or hospitality projects.
• Strong knowledge of concrete, structural, architectural, and finishing works.
• Familiarity with international construction standards and local authority requirements.
• Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

Required skills

• Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
