Commercial Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Director to shape and execute the commercial strategy of a leading construction company in Makkah. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will drive business development, tendering, and strategic partnerships to secure sustainable revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s commercial strategy and business plans.
• Lead business development activities, manage client relationships and pursue new project opportunities.
• Oversee tender preparation, pricing, contract negotiations and commercial governance.
• Manage contract administration, claims, variations and commercial performance across projects.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and best commercial practices.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing commercial team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of progressive commercial experience in construction, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in securing major projects and managing relationships with government, semi‑government and private clients.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is highly desirable.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Makkah.
