Commercial Manager

About the role

Mace is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead contract administration and cost management on one of the largest mixed‑use development programmes in Saudi Arabia. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, contractors and internal teams to ensure commercial excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and administer contract documents, warranties, bonds and licences, providing advice on contractual terms and obligations.
• Measure, value and manage variations, ensuring accurate valuations and agreement with contractors.
• Maintain cost control, financial reporting and overall financial management across the contract lifecycle.
• Produce and present monthly post‑contract cost reports to clients, highlighting status and key issues.
• Assess and advise on cost impacts from design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client‑related charges.
• Evaluate contractor and subcontractor claims for delays and additional costs, delivering commercial recommendations.
• Advise on practical completion, defect rectification, final completion certificates and negotiate final accounts.
• Lead and develop cost‑management teams, manage senior stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvement, including net‑zero carbon initiatives.

Required profile

• Professional membership (or working towards) MRICS/RICS or equivalent.
• Commitment to safety, client focus, integrity and creating opportunities for people.
• Experience in commercial management within large construction or infrastructure projects.
