Compliance Officer

About the role

Franklin Templeton is seeking a Compliance Officer for its newly established KSA entity. Reporting to the VP of Global Compliance for the Middle East and Africa, you will help ensure the business operates within its licence requirements and complies with local regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the compliance framework to align with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and business objectives.
• Act as the registered Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and fulfil all statutory AML responsibilities for the KSA entity.
• Provide expert regulatory advice to senior management and staff, supporting informed decision‑making.
• Advise on risk‑management processes, ensuring key risks are identified, assessed, mitigated and managed in line with expectations.
• Partner with HR and Risk teams to design and deliver compliance and risk training programmes.
• Lead compliance and corporate risk assessments for new products, activities, client relationships and organisational changes.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Saudi Arabian financial regulations and Capital Market Authority requirements.
• Experience in AML reporting and compliance risk management within the asset‑management or financial services sector.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AML regulations and reporting obligations.
• Familiarity with compliance framework development and implementation.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and delivering compliance training.
