Contract Manager – Pre‑Contract for Rail/Metro Projects

About the role

SYSTRA Arabia is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead pre‑contract activities on a major rail/metro project. The role focuses on developing, reviewing, negotiating and finalising contract documentation for a wide range of procurement packages, ensuring commercial robustness and compliance with project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead contract formation for procurement and tender packages.
• Prepare, review and finalise tender and contract documents.
• Support procurement strategy and select appropriate contract models.
• Draft and amend contractual terms, conditions and special provisions.
• Provide contractual and commercial input during tendering, clarification, evaluation and award stages.
• Review tenderer deviations and recommend positions.
• Identify contractual risks and incorporate mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with procurement, legal, technical and commercial teams.
• Support pre‑award negotiations with suppliers, consultants and contractors.
• Maintain complete records of contract documentation, approvals and revisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in contracts, procurement, tender support or commercial management.
• Proven experience in rail or metro projects is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of contractual compliance, governance and procurement policies.
