Control Tower Operator

About the role

The Control Tower Operator ensures continuous monitoring of temperature control and GPS tracking systems for Salehiya's cold chain logistics. This role is critical for maintaining product integrity by detecting and responding to any deviations, emergencies, or system failures in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor cold room temperature, GPS tracking, and alarm systems continuously.
• Escalate deviations, emergencies, and critical incidents to managers and relevant stakeholders according to established procedures.
• Track truck refrigeration units and fleet routes to identify temperature variances or route deviations.
• Coordinate with drivers during vehicle breakdowns or emergencies, ensuring uninterrupted temperature monitoring.
• Verify functionality of monitoring systems and report any failures or communication interruptions immediately.
• Watch for network, power, or other operational disruptions that could impact monitoring.
• Maintain clear communication with warehouse teams, transportation supervisors, maintenance staff, and drivers to resolve incidents promptly.
• Prepare and maintain deviation reports in line with company policies.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to act quickly under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with multiple internal teams.
• Ability to follow strict procedures and escalation matrices.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or cold‑chain environments is preferred.
