Cost Manager – Engineering & Construction

About the role

Egis is seeking a detail‑oriented Cost Manager to join its Engineering & Construction team in Jeddah. You will be responsible for developing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle while supporting project managers and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for engineering and construction projects of varying complexity and scale.
• Monitor and analyse project expenditures against approved budgets, identify variances and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and financial forecasts for stakeholders and senior management.
• Conduct cost‑benefit analyses and feasibility studies to support decision‑making.
• Manage contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors to optimise costs without compromising quality.
• Maintain accurate cost documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Utilise cost‑management software and ERP systems to track, record and report financial data.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement efficiency improvements.
• Review change orders and assess their financial impact on project budgets.
• Provide cost‑management guidance and support to project managers and engineering teams.
• Ensure adherence to Saudi Arabian construction regulations and local compliance requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and present cost performance metrics to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in cost management within the engineering and construction industry.
• Proven expertise in cost estimation, budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project delivery methods and industry standards.
• Experience with contract management and vendor negotiation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
