Country QHSSE Manager (Saudi National)

About the role

Egis Group is looking for an experienced Country QHSSE Manager to lead quality, health, safety, security and environmental initiatives across its operations in Saudi Arabia. The role reports to senior management and requires close collaboration with regional HSS and QA teams while ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement QHSSE strategies, policies and procedures aligned with company goals and Saudi regulations.
• Lead and mentor the national QHSSE team, managing performance and professional development.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Oversee incident investigations, audits, root‑cause analyses and corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi QHSSE regulations and international standards through systematic audits.
• Develop emergency response plans and coordinate regular drills.
• Integrate QHSSE considerations into business decisions in partnership with senior management.
• Prepare and present QHSSE performance reports to leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement of QHSSE management systems and processes.
• Promote a strong safety culture through training, communication and leadership.
• Travel to project sites to verify consistent implementation of QHSSE practices.
• Coordinate closely with Regional HSS and Regional QA Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering or related field; advanced degree or equivalent is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in QHSSE roles within construction, energy, transportation or similar sectors.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CSP, NEBOSH or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
• In‑depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian QHSSE regulations and standards.
• Strong understanding of international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001).
• Proven expertise in QHSSE management systems, risk assessment and incident investigation.
• Excellent project management and leadership abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for influencing at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and QHSSE management software.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
