Crane Operator

About the role

Our multinational client in mechanical construction and heavy equipment services is seeking an experienced crane operator to join their on‑site teams in Saudi Arabia. The role involves safe and efficient crane operations on a variety of construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Complete daily pre‑start crane inspections and basic checks, including boom greasing, hydraulic oil and coolant levels.
• Review lift plans, risk assessments, lifting procedures, OEM manuals and load charts before each operation.
• Operate within rated capacities and manufacturer limits while adhering to company and client safety requirements.
• Coordinate with riggers and site teams, ensure lifting areas are barricaded, and promptly report equipment defects or safety concerns.
• Maintain crane housekeeping and participate in toolbox talks and safety training.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of crane operating experience, including at least 5 years in the GCC operating AT/RT cranes up to 160 tons.
• Experience with Tadano, Liebherr or Terex AT/RT cranes (80–250 tons); Sany crawler crane experience (800–1,250 tons) is an advantage.
• Third‑party certification (valid or expired) for the specific crane type.
• Working knowledge of English and minimum secondary education.
• Saudi crane operator licence and Aramco certification (including expired) are preferred.

• Crane operation (AT/RT up to 250 tons, Sany crawler up to 1,250 tons).
• Pre‑start crane inspection and maintenance (boom greasing, hydraulic oil, coolant checks).
• Lift‑plan and risk‑assessment review.
• Load‑chart interpretation.
