Customs Clearance & Customer Service Coordinator

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Dammam focuses on managing customs clearance from the initial customer request through to final shipment release. The role combines hands‑on customs brokerage with direct, proactive communication with customers throughout the process.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review and validate customs clearance requests and supporting documents received by email.
• Communicate continuously with customers, providing timely updates on shipment status, missing documents, delays or additional requirements.
• Prepare, submit and track customs clearance transactions, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, shipping lines, agents and logistics platforms to facilitate clearances.
• Follow up on declarations, payments, inspections, releases and any other steps required for final clearance.
• Handle clearance delays or problems, propose solutions and keep the customer informed.
• Maintain detailed records of all communications and clearance activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in customs clearance or brokerage for import and export shipments.
• Strong knowledge of HS codes, customs classification and documentation requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially professional email correspondence.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and customers simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail, problem‑solving aptitude and capacity to work under pressure.
