Database Engineer / DBA

About the role

We are looking for a Database Engineer / DBA to manage and support enterprise Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server environments. The role will focus on database administration, availability, performance optimization, backup and recovery, security, patching, high availability, replication, and disaster recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Monitor database health, availability, performance, and capacity.
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
• Manage backup, recovery, restoration, and validation processes.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Support high‑availability and disaster‑recovery solutions, including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and SQL Server HA.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization.
• Implement security hardening, access controls, and compliance requirements.
• Plan capacity, forecast growth, and support migrations or infrastructure projects.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support and coordinate with application, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in database administration or engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle Database and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proven experience with backup/recovery, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and high‑availability solutions.
