Design Project Manager – Expo Infrastructure

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Design Project Manager to lead the infrastructure design programme for Expo 2030 Riyadh. Reporting to the Technical Director Deputy, you will coordinate multidisciplinary specialists to deliver concept, master, and detailed planning for a mixed‑use legacy site that will serve the community after the event.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of technical specialists across concept master planning, detailed master planning and infrastructure design.
• Manage appointed design consultants, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule and quality targets.
• Develop and maintain Engineering Programme Management plans aligned with the customer’s governance framework.
• Oversee the preparation of design documentation for early works, utilities, streets, parks and publicly accessible spaces.
• Ensure compliance with international sustainability standards for urban afforestation, treated water and energy sources.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale infrastructure design projects.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills for multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work closely with customers and stakeholders to meet governance requirements.
• Excellent communication and reporting capabilities.

Required skills

• Project management of design and engineering programmes.
• Knowledge of infrastructure design processes and standards.
• Familiarity with sustainability criteria for large urban developments.
