DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes, Kafka & Cloud Automation

About the role

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer who will also act as a Database Administrator. The role focuses on building scalable, highly‑available, and secure infrastructure while supporting real‑time data integration and event‑driven architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and SQL Server databases.
• Implement backup, disaster‑recovery, replication and high‑availability solutions.
• Deploy, configure and maintain Kubernetes clusters and containerised applications.
• Set up and operate Apache Kafka and Kafka Connect for streaming data.
• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD and related tools.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, Ansible and Helm charts.
• Monitor system health and performance with Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch and Kibana.
• Apply security best practices, including RBAC, encryption and DevSecOps standards.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure reliable deployments and optimal performance.

Required profile

• Strong experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and SQL Server.
• Hands‑on expertise in Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and Kafka Connect.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and the ELK/EFK stack.
