Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

About the role

The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will lead the finance function for a leading perfume and oud manufacturer in the Gulf region. This senior position is responsible for shaping the budgeting, forecasting, cost management and pricing strategy to support growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts and long‑range financial planning.
• Prepare actual‑vs‑budget and forecast analyses with actionable business insights.
• Own revenue, gross margin, OPEX, CAPEX, working capital and cash‑flow analysis.
• Conduct product costing analysis, reviewing BOM, routing, master data and ERP costing setup.
• Analyze standard‑cost versus actual‑cost variances and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Perform pricing, margin simulation, discount impact and promotion profitability studies.
• Review inventory valuation, stock aging, slow‑moving items and related provisions.
• Develop profitability analysis by product, category, channel, store, customer segment and business unit.
• Build dashboards, KPIs, executive reports and performance review packs.
• Support business cases, feasibility studies, expansion plans and investment decisions.
• Partner with Commercial, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Accounting and Executive Management.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with extensive FP&A experience.
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning.
• Strong background in cost accounting, product costing and manufacturing costing.
• Experience in pricing analysis, margin management and profitability studies.
• Ability to analyse cost variances and drive cost‑efficiency initiatives.
