Director of Medical Affairs – Saudi Arabia

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director of Medical Affairs to lead the strategic development and execution of medical affairs initiatives in Saudi Arabia. This senior position will align regional and global frameworks to enhance product lifecycles, improve patient outcomes, and support market growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Medical Affairs strategy that aligns with regional and global objectives.
• Manage design, budgeting, and tracking of Medical Affairs programs, ensuring critical path identification.
• Oversee publication of scientific data, foster science‑based interactions with key opinion leaders, and provide medical support for pre‑launch, launch, and post‑launch activities.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Government Affairs, Communications and other functions to drive cross‑departmental initiatives.
• Represent J&J externally with regulatory agencies, media, and customers, and ensure compliance with regulatory events and audits.
• Assess and improve systems and processes to increase efficiency and harmonisation.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with regulatory bodies, KOLs and internal stakeholders.
• Experience managing budgets, project timelines and cross‑functional teams in a matrix environment.
• Strategic thinker capable of balancing short‑term results with long‑term objectives.
