Drainage Engineer – Construction Supervision

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Drainage Engineer to join its Construction Supervision team in Riyadh. The role focuses on delivering a major roads and highways infrastructure project by overseeing the installation, testing and commissioning of drainage works.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all drainage‑related construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications and project standards.
• Monitor contractor performance, conduct regular site inspections and audits of stormwater networks, culverts, channels, detention facilities and related structures.
• Review and verify construction methodologies, inspection‑test plans (ITPs) and method statements.
• Provide technical oversight by reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, material approvals and engineering proposals.
• Coordinate with design teams to resolve design clarifications and implement modifications.
• Ensure quality assurance and control procedures are followed, witness testing and commissioning, and validate material test reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 180 months (15 years) of experience in highway drainage, stormwater management and large‑scale transportation projects.
• Proven ability to supervise construction, manage site activities and interact with contractors and design engineers.
• Strong knowledge of local authority requirements and international engineering standards.
