Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Design Engineer will lead the coordination and supervision of both permanent and temporary electrical works across multiple projects. You will ensure high‑quality, functional designs are produced, approved on time, and fully integrated with other engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise design teams, site engineers, and draughtsmen to deliver accurate shop drawings.
• Oversee permanent and temporary electrical works, ensuring compliance with design briefs and specifications.
• Liaise with section managers and construction teams for prompt resolution of design queries.
• Integrate electrical/low‑current designs with other disciplines and resolve design‑related problems.
• Collaborate with design consultants and obtain necessary approvals for permanent works.
• Supervise in‑house technical office staff and monitor programme progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Revit (preferred).
