Electrical Draftsman – Transmission & Distribution Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Draftsman to join our Transmission & Distribution (T&D) design team. You will create high‑quality electrical drawings that meet client standards and support the delivery of power generation, transmission, and distribution projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed electrical drawings for LV, MV, HV, and EHV substations from concept to construction.
• Maintain drafting documentation in line with the Quality Management System (QMS) and project requirements.
• Follow established drafting guidelines, industry best practices, and relevant codes and standards.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs for control, protection, metering, and monitoring systems are correctly represented.

Required profile

• B.Tech or DAE in Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 8‑10 years of drafting experience on T&D projects.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, BS, SASO, and local standards.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to project schedules.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, DIGSI, PCM600, MICOM AGILE, Envista, SEL, Building Designer.
• Experience with SAS system, IED relays, IEC 61850, and SCADA interfaces.
• Competence in control, protection, metering, and monitoring system design, including CT/PT calculations and relay setting calculations.
