Electro-Mechanical Technician – Drilling Services

About the role

Join Baker Hughes' cutting‑edge Drilling Services team as an Electro‑Mechanical Technician. You will work on a variety of technical products, troubleshooting, testing, assembling and inspecting mechanical assemblies to support safe and efficient energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy.
• Configure test stations and systems, and analyze data from environmental tests.
• Assist in setting up experiments and recording experimental data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups.
• Test, evaluate and, when required, repair general‑purpose test equipment.
• Provide leadership and coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence.
• Work in compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) policies and procedures.

Required profile

• 2‑year technical diploma or associate degree in Electrical/Electronics or higher.
• Minimum 2 years of electro‑mechanical experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Advanced soldering, assembling and troubleshooting skills for electro‑mechanical devices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists.
• Proficiency with measurement and gauging equipment, including multimeters, megohmmeters and hi‑pot testers.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
