Electro-Mechanical Technician

About the role

Join Baker Hughes’s Drilling Services team as an Electro‑Mechanical Technician, where you will support a wide range of technical products by troubleshooting, testing, assembling and inspecting mechanical assemblies.

Key responsibilities

• Review and follow procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification.
• Configure test stations and systems, and analyse data from environmental tests.
• Assist in setting up experiments and recording data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups.
• Test, evaluate and, when required, repair general‑purpose test equipment.
• Provide leadership and coaching to fellow technicians in areas of proven competence.
• Work in compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.

Required profile

• 2‑year technical diploma or associate degree in an electrical/mechanical field (or higher).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electro‑mechanical functions.
• Advanced soldering and assembly skills for electro‑mechanical devices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists.
• Proficiency with measurement and gauging equipment, multimeters, megohmmeters and hi‑pot testers.
• Strong written and oral English communication.
