Enterprise Architecture Manager

About the role

The Enterprise Architecture Manager leads the corporate architecture function, defining the overall architecture direction, governing solution design, and ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives. Reporting to senior leadership, the role is responsible for establishing standards, selecting technologies, and delivering scalable, secure, and cost-effective capabilities across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, principles and standards in line with organisational goals.
• Lead architecture governance activities and ensure compliance with approved frameworks.
• Oversee solution architecture design and review for projects, guiding implementation teams to follow approved architectures.
• Optimize technology stacks, evaluate and select platforms, and integrate emerging technologies.
• Identify and manage architecture-related risks, ensuring security and regulatory compliance.
• Provide architectural guidance for major transformation projects and embed architecture considerations throughout project lifecycles.
• Maintain architecture roadmaps, repositories and documentation, keeping artifacts accurate and auditable.
• Manage and develop a team of architects, delivering performance feedback and driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading enterprise or solution architecture functions in a large organisation.
• Strong understanding of architecture governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and align technical solutions with business strategy.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
