Environmental Manager

About the role

The Environmental Manager will lead SATCO’s sustainability agenda within its construction programmes. You will ensure that all projects comply with environmental regulations, minimise ecological impact and embed sustainable practices across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure environmental compliance and permitting for all construction activities.
• Conduct environmental assessments and audits, identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to integrate environmental considerations into planning and execution.
• Prepare and maintain documentation and reports for stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
• Lead internal training on environmental policies and promote a culture of responsibility.
• Monitor legislative changes and advise on necessary adjustments.
• Engage with government agencies and environmental organisations as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in environmental management, preferably within construction or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of local environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
