Estimation Manager – MEP Projects

About the role

The Estimation Manager will lead the preparation, coordination and submission of accurate, competitive cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) projects. You will oversee a team of estimators, work closely with suppliers, subcontractors and clients, and ensure bids are technically compliant and commercially viable.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and BOQs.
• Lead bid/no‑bid decisions, risk assessments and tender strategy development.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, fire‑fighting, electrical power & lighting, ELV and BMS systems.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and maintain cost databases and pricing benchmarks.
• Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate pricing and provide value‑engineering solutions.
• Manage and mentor estimation engineers and quantity surveyors, establishing procedures and quality controls.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and vendors during tender stages and support business development.
• Prepare tender summaries, reports and analyse awarded versus lost bids for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of MEP contracting and estimation experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or managerial role.
• Proven track record on large‑scale MEP projects in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong knowledge of local market rates, suppliers and construction practices.
