Event Planning & Performance Head

About the role

The Head of Event Planning & Performance will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of events ranging from intimate gatherings to large conferences. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive strategy, coordinate resources, and ensure high‑quality outcomes through effective planning, execution, and post‑event analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑develop and implement the event management strategy, translating organisational goals into actionable plans with clear objectives and measurable results.
• Define project scopes, budgets, timelines and risk‑mitigation plans in partnership with Event Managers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers and partners to secure contracts and ensure resource availability.
• Lead manpower and resource planning, optimizing talent and asset utilization across the events department.
• Oversee the full event lifecycle, including scheduling, task allocation, budget control and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and produce timely reports, post‑event surveys and impact assessments.
• Implement and maintain event management systems and tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Mentor, coach and develop a team of planners and coordinators, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and innovation.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale event programmes and managing cross‑functional teams.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business needs into detailed project plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills with external partners.
• Analytical mindset for budgeting, financial monitoring and performance measurement.
• Ability to act as an escalation point and resolve complex operational issues.
