Executive Director – Expo 2030 Strategic Delivery

About the role

The Executive Director – Expo 2030 Strategic Delivery will lead the overall vision, planning and execution of the Expo 2030 event. Reporting to senior stakeholders, this senior leader will ensure the Expo meets its cultural, innovative and sustainability objectives while staying within budget and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the strategic vision for Expo 2030, aligning with global standards and sustainability goals.
• Oversee cross‑functional teams to deliver all project phases on time and within budget.
• Manage relationships with government agencies, corporate sponsors, international organisations and other key partners.
• Lead financial planning, budget forecasting, reporting and risk management for the entire initiative.
• Develop and activate crisis‑management and contingency plans.
• Leverage technology and innovative solutions to enhance visitor experience and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in large‑scale event or expo management.
• Proven record of delivering complex, international projects on schedule and budget.
• Extensive stakeholder management experience, including diplomatic negotiations with government and global partners.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with large‑scale budgeting and risk mitigation.
• Deep understanding of sustainability practices applied to mega‑events.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for senior‑level presentations.
