Executive Manager – Legal (Business Development)

About the role

ACWA Power is seeking an experienced Executive Manager – Legal to join its Business Development legal team in Riyadh. The role will support large‑scale energy and infrastructure projects from bid submission through financial close and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support on project finance transactions, including bid‑stage and financial‑close activities.
• Advise on the structure, preparation and negotiation of finance documents.
• Support financing of complex energy and infrastructure projects across multiple markets.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Finance, Legal teams, lenders, sponsors, external counsel and other stakeholders.
• Identify and manage legal and commercial risks throughout the project‑financing process.
• Assist the broader ACWA Power portfolio, covering projects in the GCC, Africa and Southeast Asia.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.
• Strong experience in Project Finance and/or Banking & Finance.
• Experience gained either in‑house with a developer/infrastructure company or at a leading international law firm advising sponsors and/or lenders.
• Good understanding of the full project finance lifecycle and how key finance documents interrelate.
• Strong grasp of financing structures, loan mechanics and bankability considerations.
• Common‑law qualification preferred, given the English‑law governed documentation.
• Experience in energy, power, renewables or infrastructure is an advantage.
